Triangle Proves Ideal Destination for Super Camp as Day 1 Premiers

Triangle Proves Ideal Destination for Super Camp

Day 1 of the USA Table Tennis Super Camp kicked off at the Triangle Table Tennis Center in Morrisville, North Carolina. The massive 35 table venue provides a perfect home for the Super Camp, which features groups of the top boys and girls in mini-cadet, cadet and junior US National teams along with a host of the nations top coaches.

The players arrived across the day on Tuesday and by early Wednesday morning it was time for the training to kick off. A bitterly cold start at 7:15am on Wednesday morning was the physical warmup for the day followed by breakfast. The players will have to get used to this, as for the next week it will be normal! The day featured two full training sessions in the morning and afternoon, along with a service practice session in the evening after dinner. The kids will gain valuable group training skills and team bonding as part of national teams here, also enhancing their independence skills – as no personal coaches or parents accompany them on the trip. Joining the camp is 2016 US Olympian Tom Feng who set the standard yesterday in training. Having an Olympic athlete joining the group is priceless as it shows the kids the level they need to attain in order to reach their highest goals.
