(by: Bowmar Sports Team)

Question:

Looking to buy a top tier paddle. Would like a large sweet spot with excellent control. Shakehand player with excellent forehand and backhand. Looked at your Harimoto Innerforce Super ZLC and your Timo Ball 30th Anniversary Edition. Help me decide between this two or another paddle recommendation please. – Glen

Answer:

Hi Glen,

Both the Harimoto Innerforce Super ZLC and the Timo Boll 30th Anniversary Edition are excellent choices for top-tier Butterfly paddles.

The Harimoto Innerforce Super ZLC offers outstanding control and a large sweet spot due to its ZLC construction. It’s well-suited for players with strong forehand and backhand skills, providing a good balance of power and precision. The Timo Boll 30th Anniversary Edition also offers excellent control and a decent sweet spot, making it suitable for shakehand players with great forehand and backhand skills.

If you want a slightly more flexible and controlled feel, the Timo Boll 30th Anniversary Edition blade might be the better choice. If you prefer a paddle with a more pronounced sweet spot and additional power, the Harimoto Innerforce Super ZLC blade is a strong contender.

Best regards,

Wenting
