Butterfly Table Tennis Question and Answer

Blade: Innerforce Layer ZLC CS

Question: Hi there,

I was wondering if you could give me rubber recommendations for my Innerforce ZLC CS blade.

I love to play a semi modern-defender type game, where I like to try to defend a little to setup a opportunity to attack. When I get the opportunity I like to smash the ball or loop the ball back with heavy topspin. I love to loop and impart a lot of spin on the ball as well. Typically I play from mid-distance to setup attacks.

I’ve read that Tenergy 64-FX for FH and Tenergy 05-FX on BH is good for the Innerforce ZLC CS. Could I please have expert advice on this matter? I want to achieve the maximum amount of spin + speed without compromising on control since I’m not a pro player.

Thanks!

Answer: Hi Jeff,

Thanks for your question and interest in Butterfly equipment.

I recommend for you to try the Tenergy 64 rubber on your forehand and Tenergy 05-FX rubber for your backhand.

After reading about your playing style, I agree with most of your rubber choices. Instead of the Tenergy 64-FX, I recommend to switch to the little harder feel of the Tenergy 64 rubber as it provides more spin and speed than the softer FX version. The Tenergy 64 should still provide good control with the soft feel of the Innerforce Layer ZLC blade.

Hope you find this helpful and enjoy your new equipment!

Best,
Nan Li
