Butterfly Table Tennis Question and Answer

Question:

Hello,
i am struggling finding a blade and rubbers that will suit my playing style.
i am counterdriver/smasher/blocker.
From your product line, what are the blades and rubbers that you can recommend for my playing style? (hopefully you can recommend a couple of blades and some rubbers that i can choose from)

Thank you,
Angelo

This the Experts question was answered by Coach Jun Gao. She is the head coach at California Table Tennis in Rosemead, CA. Coach Gao’s response is as follows:

Hi Primo Angelo,

I suggest you try the Hadraw VR blade combined with Rozena rubber.

The blade is easy to control the ball and the rubber can crate good spin and speed, but it is not too fast. I never suggest a lower level player to use a fast blade because without control, speed and power mean nothing.

If you feel that your level is more advanced, then I would recommend the Timo Boll ALCcombined with Rozena or Tenergy 05-FX. This combination will offer more power and speed.

Best wishes!

Coach Gao
