Butterfly Table Tennis Question and Answer

Blade: Stiga Altimate
Forehand Rubber: Visco
Backhand Rubber: Visco

Question: Hello I’m looking into buying a new paddle. I’m had good luck with the Visco rubber an mark v. I’m an intermediate all round player the scores most of my points on my backhand drive. Do you have anything similar to the Visco rubber? Thanks

Answer: Hi Brandon,

Thank you for your interest in Butterfly equipment.

I would recommend Tenergy 64, this is one of the best rubber because Tenergy 64 is little soft. It’s more spiny and faster than Visco. You can block more easier than other rubber and good for backhand flip. I was using Tenergy 64 long time. The world champion Zhang Jike he also use a Tenergy 64 on his backhand. I’m sure Tenergy 64 is best choice and it’s makes you play better.

I was using Petr Korbel . It’s not fast but it is really sensitive and you can handle easier than a Carbon paddle. A lot of players in Korea use Peter Korbel. it is not too expensive and good paddle. Another one is Viscaria. Carbon can be too fast and not sensitive. For example, if I miss short ball (like a flip) I don’t know why I miss because it’s not sensitive, but Viscaria is the best, not too fast and sensitive, that’s why I changed.

I hope this is helping you, thank you.
