Ask The Experts: Jack Huang, No. 165 – A Butterfly Question & Answer

Blade: Viscaria Light
Forehand Rubber: Tibhar MX-S Max
Backhand Rubber: Victas V01 Stiff 2.0

Question: Dear Coach, I would like to ask you on suggestion of some blade from Butterfly, which could better suit to my play. In past I was professional player in Europe, but then I stopped for a few years. I am two wing looper, playing maximally 1,5 – 2 meters behind the table. I am used to use BH flip, chiquita as a first attack, then I am playing usually spinny FH topspin or contratopspins close to the table. I would like to increase feeling of my blade. I tried couple of Butterfly blades, the closest one to my demands was Butterfly Innerfoce ZLF, but there was problem with flex and high arc of blade. I am looking for something with lower trajectory bit faster that Viscaria Light. Despite I am playing now with Viscaria Light, I don´t like as much feel of ALC blades. Thank you for your answer. BTW: When I played professionally, I was using Primorac Carbon and then Photino, nowadays I am not as fast to control these blades. Best regards Tomas

Answer: Coach Jack Huang, Ask The Experts

Hello Tomas,
I suggest you try the Mizutani Jun with Tenergy 05 for your forehand and Tenergy 64 for your backhand.
