USATT Announces Team Roster for World Championships

USA Table Tennis (USATT) has announced the names of the athletes set to represent TeamUSA at the ITTF World Table Tennis Championships Finals.  The World Team Championships will be in Doha, Qatar this year from May 17-25.

The men’s team will be anchored by Kanak Jha, fresh off Top 16 finishes at the Paris Olympics and the World Cup, with a Pan Am Singles Championships thrown in for good measure.  Jha will be joined by Jishan Liang and the Naresh brothers (Nandan and Sid).   bring a winning chemistry that could shake up the competition.  Leading the women’s team is four-time Olympian Lily Zhang and two-time US Champion Amy Wang.  They are joined by rising stars Sally Moyland and Jessica Reyes-Lai.

TeamUSA will also be competing in Doubles with four pairs to note.  Jishan Liang and Sid Naresh will compete in Men’s Doubles.  Sally Moyland and Jessica Reyes-Lai will compete in Women’s Doubles.  And we will have two pairs in Mixed Doubles, Jishan Liang with Amy Wang and Nandan Naresh with Sally Moyland.   Jun Gao and Mark Hazinski have been selected as coaches to lead the teams.
