US National Junior/Cadet Team Members and Top Collegiate Teams to Compete at 2016 Butterfly Arnold Table Tennis Challenge

Some of the America’s best young table tennis talent will be on display at the 2016 Butterfly Arnold Table Tennis Challenge on March 4-6th in Columbus, OH. 2016 US National Junior Girls Team member Angela Guan (2413) from California and 2016 US National Cadet Boys Team member Derek Nie (2491) from Maryland will be looking to cause waves in the Open Singles, Juniors and

Under 2500 events. Top collegiate teams, Mississippi College (2015 Collegiate National Champions) and Lindenwood University (2015 Collegiate Nationals – 4th place) will be present in full force at the 2016 Butterfly Arnold Table Tennis Challenge. Both teams plan on bringing large contingents of top players, hoping to sharpen their skills for the upcoming National Collegiate Championships at the end of March.

Competing with these nationally recognized players and teams in the Open Singles event for the $3,000 championship prize are a large number of Chinese trained US residing player-coaches from the east coast.  These highly esteemed player-coaches include 2015 Butterfly Aurora Cup and 2015 Badger Open champion Ruichao Chen (2703), 2015 Butterfly Cary Cup champion Jishan Liang (2640), many time Westchester Open champion Kai Zhang (2690) and a number of others including Zi Rui Zhao (2587), Hanwei Wang (2572) and Bo Wen Chen (2518). With 15 players over 2400 in the Open Singles event, the 2016 Arnold Table Tennis Challenge will without a doubt showcase some of America’s best table tennis talent.
