TTBL and Champions League Club Borussia Dusseldorf has announced that Fan Zhendong has signed a one-year contract for the 2026-27 season.  Fan is currently under contract with Saarbrucken, and is a part of that team as they are favorites to win both the TTBL and Champions League.  However, he will shift allegiances when he arrives on July first for the start of next season.

At least at this moment, Fan will join Dang Qui, Anton Kallberg, and USA’s Kanak Jha in an already talented roster of international stars.  Both Saarbrucken and Dusseldorf are perennial contenders in the German and European club leagues.  It is likely that these two teams could face in both Championships as this season draws to a close – and the same is likely to be true a year from now.  What will change is that the team with Fan Zhendong will be the favorite – and after this transfer, the favorite will be Dusseldorf.
