Canada Hopes Challenge at the Markham PanAm Center
From across Canada, 32 top juniors age under 13 competed in the Canada Hopes Challenge at the Markham PanAm Center during Mar 11 – 12. Of the 32 that qualified through preliminary rounds, 8 were from Elite TTC.
Angela Cui from our club has been on a quest. Earlier, she won the U11 Ontario Championship and the Eastern Hopes Girl Champion. She is now the 2017 Canada Hopes Challenge Girls Champion by winning all her matches, and her very first Canada wide Gold medal.
Elite TTC’s Jessie Xu who was the youngest participant in the tournament, placed 4th in the Girls division. Kevin Guo, another Elite TTC player, won 8th place in the Boys division after some fierce competition.
Elite TTC is very proud of the performances of our players. Angela and Kevin will be part of the Canadian team to compete in the N. America Hopes Challenge next month in the US. We wish them both much success!
