Japanese Men’s and Women’s National Teams to wear the new shirt starting March 30, 2026

Tamasu Co., Ltd. (Butterfly) today unveiled the new official 2026 game shirt for the Japanese national table tennis team. Tamasu Co., Ltd. continues to serve as the official supplier and continues to provide the official game shirts for the Japanese men’s and women’s national teams from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2029.

The theme of the new official game shirt is “Venus Belt.” It refers to an atmospheric phenomenon in which sunlight reaches the opposite side of the sky from the sun at sunrise or sunset, appearing as a pink band of light. The design expresses the image of national team players shining like the sun and illuminating not only themselves but also the entire table tennis world.

The Japanese men’s and women’s national teams will begin wearing the new game shirt at the 2026 ITTF World Cup, held in Macao, China, from March 30 to April 5, 2026.

Comments from Takako Osawa, the President and Managing Director of Tamasu Co., Ltd.
Since April 2025, we have been serving as the official supplier for the Japanese men’s and women’s national teams. In the first year, the Japanese national team players wearing Butterfly apparel delivered outstanding performances, including winning the men’s doubles gold medal at the World Championships.
This year as well, the Japanese men’s and women’s national teams will continue to wear Butterfly game shirts. Like the “Venus Belt,” we hope that the national team players will shine brightly and illuminate the entire table tennis world, and we will continue to support them in the years to come.
