Butterfly Table Tennis Question and Answer

Question:

I am using Tiago Apolonia Balde which rubber is suitable for this blade

Answer:

Your Ask the Experts question was answered by Brian Pace. Coach Pace is National Level Table Tennis Coach with Dynamic Table Tennis and his response is as follows:

Brian Pace
Ce Faci Daniel,

Thank you for your question with regards to comparing Dignics 05 and Dignics 09C.

Both of the rubbers have a heavy top sheet that likens it to Hurricane, so you will be able to make a high degree of spin. Both of these rubbers are also very stable at playing high effort power shots, so kill shots have a consistent travel path.

Where these two rubber will differ is medium effort, high spin shots. There is a loss of spin on medium effort shots with the Dignics 05, that does not happen with the Dignics 09C. Not all balls will be played in the power pockets, and the Dignics 09C still allows a high degree of spin on the ball without a loss of control.

I hope this helps you with you making your decision.

Pa Pa,

Brian
