Butterfly Table Tennis Question and Answer

Question: I am a beginner to playing table tennis, but I don’t know how to pick the right racket. My preference is for advanced or recreational playing only, and not intending to play as a pro on competitions. What would you suggest for the best kind of BUTTERFLY brand racket to use? Particularly the specific model type in your product line? Please help me decide on what to purchase, and if it’s currently out in the market today. I’m currently training playing table tennis, and my only problem is how to pick the right racket.. under BUTTERFLY brand of course. Thank you and hope you could help me out soon!

Answer: Hi Brandon,

For the better than recreational players, my top suggestion is always the Primorac-FL blade. It’s Offensive Minus, so still an Offensive blade, but with good control, and it’s not crazy expensive. There are cheaper ones like the Millerga or the Feth blades, but if you are actually going to train and learn to play, you’ll want something that will at least give you a nice pop when you attack. The Millerga and Feth would probably be a bit too slow, so personally, the Primorac is the best choice all around.

Good Luck!
