Boricua Steven Moreno achieved the Bronze Medal in the WTT Youth Contender Doha 2023. On the way to obtaining 3rd place and the bronze medal, he won his two matches in the group stage Ali AL Rawahi from Oman and Obad AL – Abdullah from Qatar and thus qualify first in the group to continue advancing.

Then in the main draw Steven continued his winning path against Ahamed Korani from Qatar whom he defeated 3 sets for 0. Then in the round of the best 8 of the event he faced Roy Diyaj from India which he also dominated 3 for 0. In the semifinal he faced the Korean Lee Seungsoo who defeated him, 3 sets to 0.
