The 2023 US Open Table Tennis Championships will begin next weekend in Ontario, California. This signature American event will include 1012 players taking part in 118 events with the truly open title events at the top (Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, Mixed Doubles), age events from from U11 up to 85 and Over, rating events (both Adult and Junior versions from U1000 up to U2000 as well as U2600, U2400, and U2200), seven Para events, fifteen Classic events (sandpaper and hardbat), and a Parkinson Open. Events kick off at 8:30am next Saturday.
Kou Lei is again at the top of the rated players (2814 rating). Other top seeds include Xin Zhou, Daniel Gorak, Eugene Wang, and an array of other international players currently listed as “unrated” primarily because they have never played in a US Open. We’ll post seeding information when it is available. The top Women’s seeds include Jun Gu (2609), Aige He, Amy Wang, Kheith Rhynne Cruz, and Rachel Sung.
USATT.org will provide information and will also have a live feed as the tournament progresses. Visit ButterflyOnline.com for updates throughout the event.
