Week 2: Charlotte preview

Major League Table Tennis heads to the Charlotte Convention Center, September 19–21, with four Eastern Division teams battling: Carolina Gold Rush (2024-25 Champions), Florida Crocs, New York Slice, and Atlanta Blazers.

First open serve doubles point in table tennis history

Portland’s Nikhil Kumar (SPINDEX: 2760) tosses the ball in the air and rattles it on the table. Sid Naresh (2673) stands to his right, and the Florida Crocs’ Chihwei Yeh (2680) and Carlos Hernandez (2623) await the serve. Kumar has made these serves many times before; the Paddlers often turn to him for their doubles matches.

Get ready for the weekend

From September 19-21, Charlotte, NC, will host Week 2 of the MLTT season, featuring the return of the Carolina Gold Rush, the 2024–25 champions. This week also marks the debut of two new teams: the New York Slice and the Atlanta Blazers, as they join the growing national league. It doesn’t stop there with the debut of New York Slices rookie Koki Niwa.
