(By Steve Hopkins)

With a drop-in rate of $6 per session, table tennis may be the best entertainment value in the greater Sacramento area.  The Folsom Sports Complex location has ten tables and there are twelve more at the Rusch Park Gym location in Citrus Heights. Between the two locations, the Folsom Table Tennis Club serves about a hundred players each week.  The two locations are about twelve miles apart with the Folsom Sports Complex on the East side of Folsom just North of I-50 and with the Rusch Park Gym location to the West of Folsom near I-80.  Both locations are in the greater Sacramento area Northwest of the city.

The Folsom Sports Complex club hours are Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons, however there are four tables available for open play every day while the complex is open.  The Rusch Park location is open on Tuesday evenings.  Tuesdays and Thursdays are for open play, training, and challenge matches.  A round robin league runs every Sunday – be sure to check in by 3:55p.  The Rusch Park location also has organized matches on the first Tuesday of every month.

Head Coach Jian Zhuang leads a qualified coaching staff including James Therriault , Thanh Nguyen, and Scott Gordon.  Both group and private lessons are available.  Regardless of your level of play, Folsom Table Tennis Club has options for you.
