TeamUSA finished strong in San Salvador as the Men’s Team took Gold and the Women secured Bronze at the 2024 ITTF Pan American Championships.

In the Men’s Team event, top seeded Brazil fell 1-3 to Argentina.  Men’s Singles champion Hugo Calderano did not play, but the teams were still matched very evenly on paper when comparing the rankings of both squads.    Argentina then outlasted Chile with a 3-2 win in the Semifinals.  In the bottom half of the draw, Cuba eliminated Canada in the Quarterfinals and then the US defeated Cuba 3-0 in the Semifinals.  TeamUSA then dominated the final with Kanak Jha taking out Horacio Cifuentes 3-0, Sid Naresh defeating Lorenzo 3-1, and Nandan Naresh finishing off the sweep with a 3-1 win over Sanchi.

The Women started strong with a 3-0 win over Argentina, but fell  to Chile in the Semifinals. The event was eventually won by Cuba – 3-1 over Chile.

Solid results for TeamUSA.
