The tour next turns its attention towards Macao where the WTT Champions Series event will be played this week. The draws have been posted, and action will begin on Monday – there are no easy matches.
Top seeded (and World No. 1) Wang Chuqin’s path to the Semifinals could include Patrick Franziska or Darko Jorgic. The winner of Chuqin’s quarter of the draw could face Lin Yun-Ju or Tomokazu Harimoto or Lin Shidong. Lin Gaoyuan and Truls Moregard are the top seeds in the third “quarter” of the draw. And the final quarter includes Liang Jingkun and Dang Qiu.
Nearly every player is in the top 50. The exceptions to that are No. 57 Mattias Falck and No. 164 Xu Yingbin – and both are potentially dangerous players with the right matchup. Whether the week features big upsets or not, you can expect to see exciting match-ups and some great table tennis.
