Butterfly Tenergy 19 Rubber

New Tenergy 19 Review by Coach JinXin Wang

Posted on

Tenergy 19 – Butterfly’s newest high-performance rubber synthesizes speed and spin. When looping both underspin and topspin balls, the arc of the ball, and its steadiness, with this rubber is longer than that of both Tenergy 64 and Tenergy 80.

Points to Note:

  1. This rubber is especially effective for short backhand flicks against underspin, as well as backhand loops mid-distance from the table; the resulting spin is very strong, and the opponent will have difficulty counterattacking. Since Tenergy 19 holds the ball for more time, it produces more spin than Tenergy 05. The hit accuracy and power have also increased a lot.
  1. This rubber makes it easier to both borrow and exert more power. When blocking, the rebound speed of Tenergy 19 is faster, and the sound of ball contact is very crisp. Under more passive circumstances, hitting the net becomes less frequent, which raises confidence for defense. If you add a little bit of forward momentum, the resulting drive will add pressure onto the opponent and give you a chance to find an attack.
