For many weeks, Fan Zhendong’s points lead narrowed until Wang Chuqin stole first place. But Chuqin was only able to hold that slender lead for a week before falling behind again. Fan has accumulated 6855 points and Chuqin is in second with 6285. Ma Long continues to hold third with 3735 which is only 10 points ahead of Tomokazu Harimoto. The next three spots are all close together – Hugo Calderano with 2885, Lin Gaoyuan with 2675, and Liang Jingkun with 2530. The last three in the Top 10 are Jang Woojin, Darko Jorgic, and Lin Yun-Ju.
For one of the first times over recent years, there are no Germans in the Top 10, with Ovtcharov at 11, Dang Qiu at 13, and Patrick Franziska at No. 19. Sweden is also completely out of the Top 10 with Truls Moregard at No. 15 and no other team members in the Top 20. The French brothers, Alexis Lebrun and Felix Lebrun are No. 14 and No. 17.
The next events on the WTT Calendar are the WTT Feeder Havirov in the Czech Republic next weekend. Simon Gauzy (France’s World No 37) is the top seed and he’ll be joined with many others recognizable names from An Jaehyun, Anders Lind, Marcos Freitas, and Daniel Habesohn.
