Butterfly Table Tennis Question and Answer
Question: I’m looking for advice on rubber and padding. I’m a heavy topspin, looping player. I’ve always loved butterfly products and looking for new rubber. Any advice would be appreciated. I’m an advanced recreational player.

Your Ask the Experts question was answered by Anqi Luo. Anqi is a coach at Canadian Elite Table Tennis Training Centre Mississauga, Ontario. Coach Luo’s response is as follows: Hi Dennie, Thank you for your inquiry and glad to hear about your interest in Butterfly products. I would recommend an attacker like you to be equipped with high tension rubbers, more specially for your case – the Dignics Series. Dignics would give you the perfect tacky feeling to perform heavy looping. It is made of a harder spring sponge which is best suited for players with strong swings/loops. Looking at your current equipment, you seem to enjoy a higher speed rubber on forehand and a longer grip on backhand so I would suggest you to go with Dignics 80 on forehand and Dignics 05 on backhand. Best of luck, Anqi
