On the Men’s side, Jishan Liang was the only competitor to beat Nandan Naresh (a 4-1 score in the final match-up for both players).  By the time these two top seeds met, the top position was already decided.  Nandan Naresh was 6-0 with the other competitors, though his 4-3 win over Dan Liu and 4-3 win over Mishel Levinski were tight.  First place clearly belonged to Nandan Naresh.

For Jishan, he had been on the wrong side of a 3-4 match with Sid Naresh, and he had also fell short against Darryl Tsao 4-2.  But he was still playing strong at the end, with the win over Nandan – and his 5-2 record was sufficient to secure the second position.  Third position went to Sid Naresh (who finished 4-3), and fourth position went to Darryl Tsao (who finished 4-3 but who narrowly lost in the head-to-head match-up against Sid).

On the Women’s side, it was Amy Wang who dominated.  She was 7-0 in this stage, only pushed to 7 games one time (against Sarah Jalli).  Second went to Rachel Sung who finished 6-1.  Third went to Sally Moyland who finished 5-2.  Fourth position went to Sarah Jalli who finished 3-4.
