USATT Announces Schedule of 2017 ITTF Hopes Qualifier Events
By USATT

USA Table Tennis (USATT) announced today the schedule of domestic and international qualifier events for the 2017 ITTF World Hopes Program. Five regional events will be used to select the representatives from the United States for the North American Continental Hopes Qualifier, which will take place at the Lily Yip Table Tennis Center in Dunellen, NJ from April 29-April 30, 2017.

The ITTF World Hopes program is series of domestic, continental, and international events designed to promote education, competition, camps, and talent identification. The world-wide program culminates with the 2017 ITTF World Hopes Week and Challenge at the CTTC-Luxembourg from August 11-17, 2017.

The 2017 USA Hopes program is open to US citizens born in 2005 and 2006 (proof of citizenship will be required to participate in the regional qualifying events). Participants must also be USATT members.

Each of the five qualifying events will feature a Hopes camp on Saturday followed by a tournament on Sunday. The top three finishers by gender (3 boys, 3 girls) in each qualifier will be selected to represent the United States in the North American Continental Hopes Qualifier at LYTTC in April. The cost to participate in each of the camps is $50, and entry into the tournament is $35. Please note that players are permitted to enter more than one regional qualification event.
