Over the last two months, both the Adult and Youth Championship of the Caribbean Region took place and Oscar Birriel had great results in both. The first event was the adult championship, the 2023 ITTF Caribbean Championships, from March 20 to 25, 2023. This event was held in the city of Georgetown, Guyana where Oscar obtained an excellent result securing three medals: a Silver Medal in Men’s Doubles, a Silver Medal in Men’s Teams, and a Bronze Medal in Men’s Singles.
Following the adult championship, in the same country and city but from March 27 to April 1, was the 2023 Caribbean Youth Championship. On this occasion, Birriel only played the U19 Boys’ Singles event – but he won first place with a decisive final against over Saint Lucia’s Calderon De Andre. Oscar won the match 4-1 (-7,9,9,3, 10).
