Maybelline Menéndez was one of the Butterfly Americas sponsored players competing earlier this Month at the 2024 South American Championships in Asunción, Paraguay.
Maybelline Menéndez, alongside her partner Eunice Gálvez, offered a thrilling display of skill and determination on their way to securing multiple victories in Asunción. Representing Ecuador, the dynamic duo clinched the Bronze Medal in both the Women’s Teams event and in Women’s Doubles, marking a significant achievement for Ecuadorian table tennis.
Maybelline, who became a member of the Universidad San Francisco de Quito table tennis club 2019 at the age of 9 years old, showcased her prowess throughout the tournament. Her journey to the podium included pivotal wins against formidable opponents. Her signature achievement in Paraguay was a decisive triumph over Argentina’s Molero and Argüelles in the women’s doubles category.
