⚠️ BREAKING NEWS ⚠️
MLTT Expansion is HERE!
Major League Table Tennis keeps on growing.
Introducing the two newest teams joining America’s first professional table tennis league: The New York Slice and the Atlanta Blazers. Both squads will debut in September 2025 to start our biggest season yet.
You can read more about MLTT expansion in Sports Business Journal. Then, learn more about each team below in this addition of the MLTT Weekly Roundup powered by Butterfly.
We can’t wait to welcome these two new teams to the MLTT family and watch table tennis’ continued growth as an American sport.
New York Slice: Built For NYC 🗽
Representing the energy and grit of the Big Apple, the New York Slice is set to make an immediate impact in MLTT.
The team will be led by head coach Adam Hugh, a six-time U.S. Men’s National Teamer who competed in five World Championships and one World Team Cup. Hugh also won silver at the 2014 North American Cup and has 20 years of experience as a high-performance director and coach.
Here’s what the Slice’s new coach had to say about his new squad
“New York is home to the most passionate sports fans in the world — a city built on resilience and the relentless pursuit of excellence. As we bring MLTT to the metropolitan area, I’m excited to help build a winning culture and make every match an electrifying experience for our fans.”
Atlanta Blazers: Straight Fire 🔥
Expanding into one of the country’s most vibrant sports markets, the Atlanta Blazers will bring fast-paced MLTT action to a region with a rapidly growing table tennis community.
The team will be led by head coach Suzi Battison, an accomplished player who competed in China before becoming head coach at the National Stadium in New Jersey in 2013. Since then, she has trained multiple players who have gone on to represent the U.S. National Team at various levels.
Here’s Battison on the Blazers’ brand of table tennis
“Atlanta is an elite sports city, and we’re excited to introduce fans to the speed, skill, and excitement of MLTT. Our team will bring a strong work ethic and a competitive spirit that reflects the passion of Atlanta’s sports culture.” |
