Question:

I like to play defensive, but sometimes can play a bit offensive. What blade and rubbers could you recommend? PS. I’d like to fit in $250.

Answer:

Hi Kasparas,

Judging from your answers, your style of play is that you are a defensive player that chops regularly, with occasional attacks.

The Butterfly rubbers with the most spin are Dignics 09C, Tenergy 05 Hard and Glayzer 09C. Since your stated budget is a good amount, $250, I recommend you using Dignics 09C on your forehand and Glayzer 09C on your backhand. Both of these rubbers, particularly Dignics 09C, is great for defensive play while generating a high amount of spin, friction and arc.

Hope this helps you.

Good luck!

Coach Tawny Banh
