Butterfly Blade and Rubber Usage Rate of Butterfly Equipment at the 2019 World Table Tennis Championships

2008: Speed glue ban. 2014: The introduction of plastic balls. According to the demands of each period, the rules of table tennis have changed. Each time, new demands to players and table tennis equipment had the opportunity to evolve. While the choice in equipment changed according to each period, brand did not. These facts speak volumes about the players’ trust in Butterfly.

*This material survey was conducted by the Butterfly staff on each event with all players competing at the World Table Tennis Championships.

The effective survey rate at WTTC 2019 was 99.8%. The usage rate of rubbers is not calculated per player but rather by the total number of table tennis rubbers.
