Twenty of the best players from USATT’s T2 Season 2 competed in the Season Finals this week. After fighting through the group stage, there were four undefeated players: Jishan Liang, Xin Zhou, Jimmy Butler, and Kai Zhang. Those top four players matched up against the next four highest qualifiers (each of whom finished 3-1 in their group): Juan Liu, Lily Zhang, Jian Li, and Jeremy Hazin.
In the top half of the draw, both matches were minor upsets with Jeremy Hazin topping Jishan Liang 4-3 and Jian Li defeating Lily Zhang 4-1. In the bottom half of the draw it was Kai Zhang over Dan Liu 4-2 and Xin Zhou over Juan Liu 4-1.
In the Semifinals Jian Li defeated Jeremy Hazin in a tight 4-3 match, and Xin dominated Kai 4-1. Xin Zhou continued to roll in the Final, easily defeating Jian Li 4-0.
