OMAR ASSAR

What’s New?: A larger handle and Kevlar carbon – The Omar Assar Blade

Assar uses a customized Butterfly inner fiber carbon blade that bears his name (OMAR ASSAR BLADE), and Tenergy 05 Hard.

Omar Assar is an exciting player from Egypt.  The Olympian currently plays for Borussia Dusseldorf and was one of the most successful players in the recent Dusseldorf Masters Series.  He is currently ranked No. 38 in the world, but his overall arc has been upward starting in 2012 were he rose from No. 200 up to the 50s over a three year period.  His highest ranking was N0. 16, and with his place already booked for the Tokyo Olympics, so we can expect to hear a lot from Omar Assar in the upcoming year.

The Omar Assar Blade is a 5-ply blade reinforced by 2 Kevlar-Carbon fiber layers.  It is designed with a large sweet spot to provide offensive players with powerful attacks without sacrificing accuracy.  There are two unique factors to highlight about this blade: (1) this is the only Butterfly blade utilizing Kevlar Carbon layers – layers that absorb vibration and assisting making the blade harder and faster, and (2) the blade has an optional Flared Extra Large handle – a great option for players with large hands or players who prefer the feel of a bigger handle.
