National Center of Excellence LYTTC Elite Juniors Succeed at the 2015 U.S. National Championships
by Lily Yip

Congratulations to our Olympic hopefuls: Allen Wang, Tina Lin, Amy Wang and Jayden Zhou for becoming US National Champions.

Lily Yip Table Tennis Center, LYTTC

Our newest trainer is Yunhao (Kaden) Xu.  He arrived at our Center from China on November 5, 2015.  He is a very mild mannered, soft spoken individual, but when he plays Table Tennis, he turns into a Tiger.  He is wickedly fast and has an unbelievably strong forehand.  At the 23rd FIT Open Championships at Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City he reached the finals of the Open event defeating Kai Zhang from Westchester Table Tennis Club three games to zero.  Kai Zhang is the current number one under 18 year old in the United States and just won the International Junior Events in Canada and Portugal.

Kaden has been regularly training with our LYTTC Juniors during the week, which lead to great results at the latest US National Championships in Las Vegas Nevada from December 14-19, 2015.  Kaden played an important role by practicing with Jayden Zhou who won the Under 10 Championship, Tina Lin who won the Under 18 Girls Team Trials, Amy Wang who won the Girls Under 15 and Amy’s brother Allen Wang who made the Semi Finals of the Men’s Singles and a finalist in the Boys Under 18 Team Trials.

Kaden will also help train our juniors for the upcoming Savona Tile Cup – US Garden State School Championships.  This event will be held at the Lily Yip Table Tennis Center on Jan 16-17, 2016.

Kaden has a pivotal role as a practice partner for our US Olympic Hopefuls to get ready for the US Olympic Trials this coming February and will be a contender for the US Olympic Team in 2020.

Visit LYTTC.com for more information on their club.
