The Utamanian tenimesista reached an agreement to play with the Real Club Tenis de Mesa Linares in the Honor division.

Daniel González will be in charge of helping the Real Club Tenis de Mesa Linares to ascend to the Super Division.

The Utimadan tennis player will be one of the reinforcements of the Spanish club for the next season in the Honor division after having agreed on an agreement that will allow him to resume his professional career.

Previously, González had played as a professional with club San Sebastián de los Reyes, precisely in Spain, and stopped his career in recent years to seek good positions in the world ranking of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF).

“They are in the second league, but they aim to go up to that first division,” González said in a telephone interview with EL VOCERO.

The member of the men’s national team spent eight years with the San Sebastián de los Reyes club. He also saw action in the Interuniversity Athletic League (LAI) in which he won three titles under the Ana G. Méndez university system, Carolina campus.

“This firm is a good thing because it allows me to stay competitively active. The club has the goal of going up at all costs. This is going to be demanding. Actually, we have a good team right now. Let’s hope to meet that goal which is to go up, ”said the 26-year-old tenimesista who is ranked 144 in the world ranking.

González now hopes to dedicate himself fully to his commitments in Spain and the national team after the culmination of his university participation.

“Now this is good. To play LAI I had to interrupt in Spain so it allows me to continue at a high level of competition for Europe and not have to interrupt the schedule,” said the athlete, who returns tomorrow to the Aguilas de la Montana club to resume work from the training center”
