Butterfly Table Tennis Question and Answer

Question:  Whats the difference between butterfly Zhang Jike ALC and butterfly Freitas ALC in terms of play?
I want something like Timo Boll ALC but with a little more flex, topspin, and control?
What do you guys recommend?
Timo boll ALC is a little too hard for me

Best Regards,
Safiur Rahman

Coach Sungsoo Jung, Ask The Experts

Answer: Hi  Safiur,

According to Mr. Freitas, whose name appears on the blade, the Freitas ALC was designed with an emphasis on control and speed. Major features of Zhang Jike ALC are power attacks and soft feeling, which are characteristics of a balance play between attack and defense.
While they are both excellent rackets, I would recommend the Freitas ALC if you are seeking a racket that offers good control.

I hope you find my recommendation helpful.
