Question: I was wondering how to get my 3rd ball backhand drives faster and more consistent. Do you have any tips? Thanks
Answer: Hi Joe,
Thanks for your question.
In order to get your backhand drive faster and more consistent, I recommend to try to play a earlier timing close to the table. With that you have to shorten your swing as you will have less time to play closer to the table. At the same time, try to use more wrist action and less forearm since you don’t have much time to recover with the arm for the next ball. Lastly when training your backhand, use only 60% of your maximum power to be able work on your technique and to make it more stable & consistent.
Hope this helps and make your backhand better.
