Butterfly Table Tennis Question and Answer

Blade: Schlager Carbon
Forehand Rubber: Tenergy 05
Backhand Rubber: Tenergy 05

Question: Have been playing with Schlager Carbon for years and would like to upgrade to a similar wood that is a little bit more forgiving. Style is mainly looper with good blocking skill.
Looking for a bigger sweet spot and a little more control.
What blade and rubber combination would you recommend?

Answer: Hi Alexis,

Thank you for your question and interest in Butterfly equipment! Yes, I’d definitely agree that the Schlager Carbon can be a bit on the stiff side. If you’d like something similar but softer, I’d recommend trying the Primorac Carbon. It should provide you with a bit more control while sacrificing very little speed. If you’re looking for something with even more cushion, the Viscaria is an excellent choice though the difference in speed will be more noticeable.

Please let us know if you have any other questions and best of luck with the new blade!
