Blade: Cypress-x (30+ yrs old)
Forehand: Super Sriver
Backhand: Super Sriver
Question: My blade is in great shape but the rubber is obviously shot due to age. Is it worth putting new rubber on this blade? If so, what rubber do you recommend? I tried a carbon blade with Tenergy 80 and liked it. Would the performance of this rubber be vastly different if put on my wood blade?
Answer: Doug,
Definitely the old Sriver is not good anymore, you need to change with new rubbers. Tenergy 80 is faster than Sriver, working with your old blade will give you a surprise in speed and spin. I would suggest to try it.
