USA’s Top Ranked Player Visits Butterfly

Posted on

Guess who stopped by Bowmar Sports/Butterfly last week in Wilson, North Carolina?

None other than USA’s top ranked player, Kanak Jha (and his mom, Karuna Jain Jha).  Upon arrival last Wednesday, they had a tour of the facility and met with Butterfly Staff before a series of meetings, a group lunch, and a visit to Triangle Badminton and Table Tennis (in nearby Morrisville, NC).

Kanak has recently returned to the United States after competing in Men’s Singles and Men’s Teams at the Olympics.  This was his second Olympic Games, and it included an upset win over and Top 10 player (Mattias Falck of Sweden).   *Read more about TeamUSA’s performance at the Olympics in our TeamUSA Tokyo Recap article.

Welcome to Butterfly North America, Kanak.  We’re all looking forward to seeing you perform at the World Championships this November in Houston.
