We are underway in San Jose at the 2026 US National Table Tennis Championships.

In early action at the Men’s Singles Hsing Family event, top seeds have been doing well in the group phase with Daniel Tran, Ved Shesh, Nishant Lebaka, Andrew Cao, Aryan Jha, Kunal Chodri, Kef Noorani, Mohammadereza Aklahpasand, Krish Gandhi, Xianyao He, Victor Xie, Krishnateja Avvari, Alex Averin, Seth Pech, Andy Runze Li, Lucas Wu, Yashraj Shah, Tanish Pendse, Newman Cheng, Jonathan Li, Peter Joseph Scheuer, Jonathan Ou, William Feng, Michael Guo, Jordan Yee, Lirin Zhang, Vishal Sivakumar, Raymond Zhu, Austin Lo, and Xianliang He all won from the top position in their Group matches, with several groups not yet reporting.

While many events have not yet begun, or remain in early stages, others events have already concluded.  Chirag Pradhan has won the U13 Boys’ Singles event, and Emma Yang has won U13 Girls’ Singles.  Seth Pech won 30 & Over Men’s and Marina Leitnam won 30 & Over Women.  The 50 + Singles events both went to well-known names, as Jimmy Butler won Men’s 50+ and Lily Yip won the Women’s 50+ event.

One of the great advantages of our sport is that it can be played by a diverse range of players of all ages and abilities.  With that in mind, we’ll also highlight that Hardbat Men’s went to Alex Averin and Hardbat Women’s sent to Evelyn Ma, and that Ilya Rozenblat has won the Parkinson Open event.  Three of the five Para events have also concluded with Zachary Picket winning Para Class 3-5, Daniel Rosenfeld winning Para Class 6-7, and Ryan Gibson winning Para Class 8-10.

Lots of quality table tennis on tap all week long – we’ll have more updates soon.
