Industry Leading Executive Joins Board as Independent Director

August 18, 2015 (Colorado Springs, CO) – USA Table Tennis (USATT) announced today that Carolyne Savini, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Turnkey Search, will serve the Board for a four-year term as an Independent Director. USATT’s Nominating and Governance Committee appointed Ms. Savini earlier this month after an exhaustive search to fill the vacancy left when Jim Kahler’s term expired in January.

“This is a truly exciting day for USATT,” commented Peter Scudner, USATT’s Board Chair. “While we are sad to see Jim leave the board after two outstanding terms, we are thrilled that our Nominating and Governance Committee was able to find and recruit a director of Carolyne’s caliber. I am confident that her experience and network in the sports and entertainment industry will be extremely beneficial to our organization as we continue to grow and evolve.”

“The sport of table tennis is clearly on the verge of exploding in the United States,” continued Savini. “It’s exciting to have the opportunity work with the board on its growth and development.”

In her role as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Turnkey Search, Ms. Savini oversees all aspects of the company’s business including employer services, job seeker services, business development, corporate partnerships and internal staffing.

Since joining Turnkey in 2006, Carolyne has conducted and overseen the successful completion of over 250 high level searches in sports and entertainment. Her satisfied clients include the Chicago Cubs, FELD Entertainment, Georgetown University, the LA Marathon, and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Prior to joining Turnkey, Carolyne handled sponsorship sales and service at Learfield Sports for the University of Memphis Tiger Sports Properties. She is also an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University, where she has been involved in the Sports Industry Management program since 2011.

Carolyne is a graduate of Ohio University (M.S.A. & M.B.A.); Villanova University (Certificate, Human Resources Development); and the University of Pittsburgh (B.A.), where she also earned Academic and Athletic All-America honors as a member of the school’s swim team.
