Eight gold medals, two silver, and four bronze highlighted an unforgettable week for Three10 Table Tennis Club at the Canadian Championships in Winnipeg (July 17-23). Athletes Cindy Zhu, Sunny Zhang, and Tiffany Zhan delivered exceptional performances across multiple events, helping the club produce one of its strongest national championship results to date.
The tournament was led by Sunny Zhang, who achieved one of the week’s most impressive accomplishments by capturing three national titles. Sunny claimed gold in the U19 Girls’ Singles, U19 Girls’ Team, and Senior Women’s Doubles, proving her ability to compete successfully not only against Canada’s top juniors but also against experienced adult players.
Cindy Zhu also enjoyed a superb championship. Despite competing in an older age category, she captured the U15 Girls’ Team title with the series of confident performances before adding another gold medal U15 Girls’ Singles event. Her success against older competition highlighted both her technical ability and competitive maturity.
The club’s medal haul was completed by Tiffany Zhan, whose consistent play earned her the silver medal in the U13 Girls’ Team event and a bronze medal in U13 Girls’ Singles. Throughout the tournament, Tiffany played a key role in helping her team reach the championship match while continuing to demonstrate steady improvement on the national stage.
The coaches praised the team’s collective effort rather than focusing on individual accomplishments.
“These results reflect months of hard work, discipline, and commitment,” the coaches said. “Every athlete embraced the challenge of competing at Nationals, supported one another throughout the week, and represented Three10 with pride.”

With another successful Nationals complete, the team now turns its attention toward the new upcoming season with confidence and momentum.
