The 2017 Hawkeye Open was a great success with 24 tables and livestreaming setup in the south gym at the University of Iowa. Top players came from far and wide to compete for the top prize with a host of highly rated players contesting the Open singles event.

The tournament was preceded by an excellent training camp on the Friday night, hosted by Ohio coach and player Samson Dubina. 40 players registered and engaged in a helpful 3 hour practice session which focused on footwork, placement and tactical exercises – all designed to maximize the players’ performances over the tournament weekend. A special thanks to Samson and his support crew for their assistance!
