TABLE TENNIS NORTH news – update
Things are going very well in the Northwest Territories. We have a lot going on!
Now creating the infrastructure in all areas for the upcoming 2018 Arctic Winter Games in our region (March 2018). Exciting to see over 1,900 athletes coming to our Territory from all over the world. Our school championship is coming up in December; a great opportunity for our local athletes to get some practice before the Team NWT trials in January. We have now reached 15 communities in the North, brought in 60 Butterfly tables and played with over 5,000 children. We are also happy to have prolonged our sponsorship with Rowe’s Construction and Aurora Ford.

This year Thor was awarded the Volunteer & Coach Award of the Year by Table Tennis North; the Betty Tweedy Award by Table Tennis Canada; and he also received the Contributor to Sport Award by Sport North.
