2015 Butterfly LA Open

Table Tennis is abundant this Labor Day weekend on the East & West Coast.

USA and Canada players will face off on the east coast at the 2015 ITTF North American Championships. The ITTF NA Championships begins tomorrow September 5th through Monday September 7th at the Westchester Table Tennis Center in Pleasantville, New York. Eight men and eight women will compete for a spot to represent North America at the 2016 World Table Tennis Championships in Malaysia and claim a portion of the $8,000 total prize money. Juniors will be competing for a spot at the 2015 World Junior Championships and Cadet events will serve as one qualification event for selecting North American team for the 2015 World Cadet Challenge. On the west coast, North American and international players will be competing at the 2015 Butterfly LA Open in El Monte, California. Starting tomorrow and continuing through Sunday over 300 players will be competing for a portion of the $36,000 in total prize money. It’s the 5th year for the annual LA Open. The LA Open table tennis committee, Grace Lin Table Tennis Center and California Table Tennis, sponsors the tournament. As a stop on the Butterfly North America tour, Butterfly will be supplying professional table tennis tables, ITTF approved 3-Star 40+ balls, nets, barriers and more.
