Super ZLC Blades: Power With Maximum Consistency And Stability

Posted on

(by Logan Rietz)

Super ZLC blades are known for being fast and crisp, but their biggest claim to fame is their enormous sweet spots.  This is accomplished by creating a ply 1.8x more densely woven than a regular ZL Fiber/carbon ply.  But what does all this mean? It means you get an incredibly consistent reaction from your paddle with fewer mishits. All of this amounts to a large reaction area perfect for mounting your attacks.

Super ZLC blades provide a great amount of offensive firepower as well as the ability to control it. If you are looking for blistering speed and a slightly smaller handle, the Mizutani Jun Super ZLC is a great option and the fastest of the Super ZLC blades. The Fan Zhendong and Lin Yun-Ju Super ZLC blades, which occupy the same spot on our Blade Matrix, have standard handle sizes and slightly less speed than the Mizutani. Players seeking the benefits of Super ZLC plies with a more manageable speed should look no further than the Harimoto Innerforce Super ZLC. Placing the Super ZLC plies next to the center ply instead of the outer plies reduces the speed and softens the feel.

Whether you are looking for relentless offensive power, manageable speed, or something in the middle, Super ZLC blades can give you more consistency in your game.
