Competing against experienced adult opponents, Sunny showed composure beyond her years. She played steadily throughout the team competition, made the most of her technical strengths, and contributed key performances for the Canadian squad. Team events demand not only individual skills but also teamwork, adaptability, and cohesion under pressure. Sunny and her teammates supported one another and worked together to help Canada battle through the field and reach the podium.
Winning a team bronze at a high-level event like the Pan American Senior Championships in Lima at just 17 reflects Sunny’s solid fundamentals, strong mentality, and considerable potential. The experience also gave her valuable exposure to adult international competition, laying a strong foundation for future events at even higher levels.
Congratulations to Sunny Zhang of Three10 TTC on this outstanding achievement. We look forward to seeing her continue to push her limits and achieve even more success on the international stage.
