STEVEN MORENO MEN’S U13 CHAMPION OF THE WTT YOUTH CONTENDER PODGORICA 2022

The Butterfly player Steven Joel Moreno continues with his steady pace on his winning path in the WTT Contender in the men’s U-13 category, by proclaiming himself Champion of the WTT Youth Contender Podgorica, Montenegro.

On the way to victory, in the initial group round robbin phase he beat Alvaro Magana, Mexico 3-0, then Dorde Celic, Boznia – Herzegovina 3-1 and Milan Vucetic of Montenegro 3-0.

In the second single elimination in the 1st round, he won a bye, then defeated Niksa Vesovic, Montenegro 3-0, in the semifinals he beat Deni Valle of Croatia 3-1 and in the final he beat Yousif Abdala, Qatar 3-0 with partial from 11-8, 13-11 and 12-10.  With this victory Steven achieved his sixth Championship in the WTT tournaments.

Steven continues his training in Europe until November where he joins his club at USA HITTA “Houston International Table Tennis Academy”
