SK CARBON – AN INSTANT CLASSIC

(Courtesy of ButterflyMag)

If you are looking for the power of a carbon blade, but need the comfort of a softer touch – look no further. The new Butterfly SK CARBON might just be your blade.

Tailored to versatile, precise gameplay

Rüdiger von Berg, Butterfly

Due to the special composition of 3 wood plys and 2 plys made of TAMCA 5000 carbon fiber, the SK CARBON combines the punch of a carbon blade with the feedback of natural wood.

Butterfly’s Rüdiger von Berg defines the suitability of the new blade:

„First of all, the SK CARBON is well suited for players already using a carbon blade, but who are looking for a softer touch. On the other hand it will be enticing to players using a natural wood blade but are interested in the qualities of a carbon-fiber blade.”

Precise touch, low weight

SK CARBONThe SK CARBON combines the best of both worlds and offers a touch that many players have been searching for in a carbon blade. Its greatest strength is the precision and punch only blades with special fibers can provide, combined with the excellent passive control, especially in blocking shots.

The low weight of SK CARBON supports shots with short movements and the serve/receive game in general. While TAMCA5000 blades usually offer little feedback due to the high vibration property, the SK CARBON breaks out from that mindset with a touch sensation more comparable to an ALC or softer ZLC blade.
