The 12th edition of the Boucherville Open – Butterfly and 2nd International Edition, held on April 18 and 19 at École secondaire de Mortagne in Boucherville was an incredible success.
We reached full capacity over both competition days, with a record participation of 237 players across multiple categories. The venue was completely filled, creating an amazing atmosphere throughout the event. It was truly inspiring to see players come together from different countries and several Canadian provinces for one of the most anticipated tournaments of the year.
The event featured 35 professional Butterfly tables, supported by an outstanding logistical setup that ensured smooth and high-quality competition. The level of play was excellent, and the tournament attracted attention from local media, as La Releve and Boucherville helping to draw spectators and showcase high-level matches to the community.
A special highlight was the celebration of Happy World Table Tennis Day on Saturday. We organized activities and fun contests for children, with over 100 kids participating. The energy in the hall was incredible, and it was a great opportunity to promote table tennis in a fun and engaging way for the younger generation.
Overall, this edition was a tremendous success, both in terms of participation and organization.
