Quebec Federation Annual Awards

This past weekend at the Quebec Federation Annual Awards, Alicia Côté was awarded, for the second time, the Junior Girl Athlete of the Year, Female Athlete of the Year, and Jihad Fahrat prize. Alicia was also a recipient of the Steven Samson award.
Steven Samson is a former table tennis player, known for his great personality, his talent, diligence, perseverance and fighting attitude. He became Canadian junior champion in 1998 in St-Hyacinthe, only 4 years after starting table tennis. Unfortunately, he passed away in 2007 at the age of 26, following a car accident.
A tribute to Steven Samson was given at the Saturday evening Gala. A new trophy bearing his name was presented to Alicia Côté and Antoine Bernadet recipients, athletes representing well the course and had Steven’s personality.
